Modoc Unified School District
Issue:
Modoc Joint Unified School District’s Phone System was an end of life 3com product that was discontinued by HP and dying. They wanted a reliable integrator who was fully CMAS certified, and a phone system that was current and supported. The IT staff was looking for a system with ease of administration as well as a company who could help them move, add and change the system as needed.
Solution:
The ShoreTel solution meant answers for Modoc that were easy, easy, easy! Shoretel provides a single administration interface for this multi-site school district. They needed a multi-site phone system for their multi campus environment including an elementary, middle, and high school, with all three sites functioning as a single image system.
The campuses have a gigabit data network in place and the ShoreTel system with gigabit IP phones and a 2 port Ethernet switch in the back of the phone made for a seamless deployment across the network without having to add a second data jack to each classroom. This would have been costly for 3 schools campuses that were built long ago.
